Online race at home

The GASENERGY gas station chain together with QazAthletics and the Athletics Federation of Kazakhstan held an online race as part of the Unity Day of the People of Kazakhstan.
More than 400 people across Kazakhstan took part in such an unusual format of the competition: to run one of three distances at home.
Before the start, the Olympic champion in athletics and the most titled athlete of Kazakhstan Olga Rypakova held a warm-up for the participants.
The majority of Kazakhstanis have registered exactly for one kilometer. At home, this distance was the most suitable.
It should be noted that one of the participants Denis Gordienko ran ten kilometers in 25 minutes and 13 seconds. According to the judging team of the Athletics Federation of Kazakhstan, our compatriot broke the world record.
